Paraffin Waxes

Paraffin waxes are characterised by melting point, oil content and penetration. The most important applications of paraffin waxes are in: tapers and candles, packaging materials, petrochemicals, polishes, pharmaceuticals, explosives, matches, electrical insulation and neutron barriers, waterproofing emulsions, tyres, textile waterproofing, hot-melt production, wood protection and water-repellent.
Paraffin wax is a petroleum wax made from de-oiled slack wax, which is derived by de-waxing base distillate lube oil streams of mainly straight chain alkanes. Paraffin wax is brittle and has a low melting point between 46 and 71 degrees C. It is highly resistant to moisture. Due to its low cost, paraffin wax is frequently added to other wax blends.
MKR offers numerous grades of Paraffin Wax which are typically categorised by melt point.

Microcrystalline Waxes

Microcrystalline waxes are a type of wax produced during the petroleum refining process. Unlike Paraffin Waxes which contain mostly unbranched alkanes, microcrystalline wax contains a higher percentage of isoparaffinic (branched) hydrocarbons and naphthenic hydrocarbons.
Through the Crystal Structure it possesses, Microwaxes have niche properties such as being very malleable which makes it perfect for applications such as Candle Making, Cosmetics and Casting.

EBS

EBS Wax is derived from the reaction of ethylenediamine and stearic. It is found in several forms, as a white waxy solid, powder or beads and is widely used as a release agent, dispersing agent or lubricant.
It is used in the manufacture of paints and plastics as a dispersing or lubricating agent to facilitate and stabilize the dispersion of materials in mixtures
MKR can offer a range of different grades of EBS wax produced from Vegetable or Tallow origin to meet your requirements

Polyethylene

Polyethylene Wax is polyethylene that is very low in molecular weight. They are relatively hard and bright in colour crystalline waxes. PE Wax can be manufactured directly from ethylene monomer, degraded from higher molecular weight polyethylene or recovered and refined from polyethylene resin production. PE waxes are used in particular for adjusting viscosity, melting point and hardness. These attributes lend them to a number of applications such as adhesives, printing inks, rubber, sealants, textiles, plastics, paper, leather, cosmetics, metal-processing, industrial cleaners and road construction.
