Lauryl-Myristyl Alcohol is a Fatty Alcohol comprised of a mixture of C12 (Lauryl) and C14 (Myristyl) Alcohol. At room temperature C12-14 Alcohol takes the form of a white, crystalline solid that is insoluble in water. Lauryl-Myristyl Alcohol offers many useful characteristics such as being a good Emulsifier, Emollient, Stabiliser and Thickener. As well as this, C12-14 Alcohol can be used as an intermediate in the production of other materials. Such traits lend itself to a number of applications in both the Personal Care and Industrial sectors:
- Cosmetics and Skincare – Lotions, Makeup, and Hair Products
- Homecare – Light and Heavy-Duty Detergents, Laundry Pre-Softeners, Hard Surface Cleaners and Disinfectants.
