Our funding can help strengthen local communities and keep vital charity services running.
To be eligible for a grant, you must be a small or medium-sized charity headquartered in Merseyside with an income of under £1 million. There are certain things that we fund, namely:
- Existing and new activities
- Salaries and project expenses
- Volunteer and beneficiary costs
- Community and outreach initiatives
- Arts, welfare and education programmes
- Advice, information, and advocacy services
- Resources and items of equipment
About our grants
Grants are for one year and range from £1,000 up to a maximum of £10,000 for exceptional work.
There is no standard amount since trustees consider each application on its own merit. However, we recommend calling the office to check if your approach is realistic and meets our priorities. The office is open Wednesday through Friday
How to apply
Applications must be made using the Foundation’s application form and are reviewed as they are received. We no longer accept applications by post, so make sure you follow the guidance for submitting electronically.
It takes 3–4 months to assess and make decisions on funding. We cannot fund activities that have already begun, so plan ahead of time.
To make a grant application, please download our Holt Main Grant Application form by clicking the link below. On the form, you will find full terms and conditions and application criteria. Return your completed application by email as we are unable to accept submissions sent by post.
