Tenancy and recruitment

Chambers understands that in order to continue to thrive, it needs to select the very best candidates from the widest possible pool.

Tenancy

As part of its policy of expansion, Atlantic Chambers is looking to recruit established practitioners of at least five years’ call, in the fields of Family, Civil, Chancery and Commercial and Employment.

Applications from practitioners of under five years’ call are also positively encouraged and will be considered in exceptional circumstances. Solicitors looking to transfer to the Bar with PQE will also be considered.

All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence. Applications should be addressed to Simon Dawes, marked private and confidential.

Pupillage

Atlantic Chambers encourage applications for pupillage from exceptional candidates, with an interest in practising in all areas of law. The policy of Atlantic Chambers is to take pupils only with a view to the subsequent grant of a tenancy. We recruit through the pupillage gateway and any prospective candidate should refer to www.pupillagegateway.com for current vacancies.

Atlantic Chambers is committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your personal information. This Pupil Fair Processing Notice describes the personal information that the Chambers collects from or about you, and how we use and to whom we disclose that information.

Atlantic Chambers only offers pupillage, subject to authorisation to do so by the Bar Standards Board, and is not liable in any event, if it did not retain authorisation to offer pupillage.

Experience has shown that juniors have the opportunity to receive fees in excess of £40,000 in their first twelve months of tenancy.

Any general enquiries can be made to Chambers Administrator, Julie Evans at julie@atlanticchambers.co.uk

Mini Pupillage

Atlantic Chambers offers short placements for mini-pupillage from April to September. The application window for these placements is open between January and February each year. Due to the high level of demand, unfortunately we are unable to consider applications outside this timescale. Applications should be in writing, enclosing a current CV to Julie Evans at julie@atlanticchambers.co.uk.
